Most of the children from impoverished backgrounds, are unable to maximize the benefits of education optimally, as they lack basic english communication skills, which still play a major role in the Indian job market. This project would enable them to fill this gap & compete with the other kids on equal footing.
Brief Description:
Enhancing english communication skills of children from the EWS (Economically Weaker Section), by providing them with trained facilitators, who would enhance their required skills through Workshops conducted TWICE a week, for a period of TWO years.
The workshops take place after school hours, for 30+ girls from the Slums & our partner School is, Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls, located in South Delhi.
In addition to the English skills, the Girls are also sensitized to various Universal Human Values like – honesty, compassion, etc
The students have also been introduced to the practice of Anapana Meditation, which would enable them to concentrate better & be more proactive in life.
